Sarvesh Kumar Tiwari on Doordripp: "Why can't fashion be delivered as quickly as groceries?"

Sarvesh Kumar Tiwari is the founder, CEO, and director of Doordripp Private Limited, an Indian fashion quick-commerce startup designed to deliver clothing and accessories within 25 to 45 minutes. He's from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology degree alongside running the company.
The premise behind Doordripp is captured in a single question Tiwari kept returning to during our conversation: if groceries, food, medicines, and daily essentials can be delivered in minutes, why does fashion still take days? Tiwari's bet is that the same quick-commerce mechanics that reshaped Indian grocery delivery can — and should — reshape how people buy clothes.
We caught up with him to discuss the inspiration behind Doordripp, the realities of building a company while in college, and his vision for the future of fashion commerce in India.

"My name is Sarvesh Kumar Tiwari, and I am the founder, CEO, and director of Doordripp Private Limited," Tiwari says. "I'm originally from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree. Alongside my academic journey, I have always been passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation."
That passion, he says, started young. "From a young age, I was fascinated by businesses that solve everyday problems through technology. This passion led me to build Doordripp, a startup focused on revolutionizing fashion commerce by bringing speed, convenience, and innovation to the shopping experience. Balancing academics and entrepreneurship has been challenging — but has taught me valuable lessons in leadership, resilience, and execution."
The inspiration: "Why can't fashion be delivered as quickly as groceries?"
The genesis of Doordripp, Tiwari tells us, was a single observation about the Indian consumer market.
"While groceries, food, medicines, and daily essentials could be delivered within minutes, fashion purchases still required customers to wait several days. I saw a clear gap in the market and asked myself a simple question: 'Why can't fashion be delivered as quickly as groceries?'"
That question is, in retrospect, the whole company. "This idea led to the creation of Doordripp, a fashion quick-commerce platform designed to deliver clothing and accessories within 25 to 45 minutes. I wanted to create a solution that would combine the convenience of quick commerce with the excitement of fashion shopping."
The problem Doordripp is solving
The biggest unmet need in Indian online fashion shopping, in Tiwari's view, is the gap between intent and arrival.
"Many people need clothes or accessories urgently — for interviews, parties, meetings, weddings, college events, or last-minute plans. Traditional e-commerce platforms often require customers to wait several days for delivery."
Doordripp's response is a 25–45 minute delivery promise plus a trial-before-purchase experience. "We are introducing a trial experience that allows customers to try products before making their final purchase decision, creating greater confidence and satisfaction. Our mission is to make fashion shopping as fast and convenient as ordering food or groceries."
Building a startup while pursuing a B.Tech
The most consistent theme in Tiwari's account is the tension between his academic load and the demands of running a young company.
"One of the biggest challenges was building a startup while simultaneously pursuing my B.Tech degree. Managing studies, business operations, strategic planning, recruitment, and product development required strong discipline and time management."
The category itself added a second layer of difficulty. "Building a business model for fashion quick commerce — which is still relatively new in India — was a challenge. We had to carefully design our operational processes, identify market opportunities, build a capable team, and create a sustainable vision for growth."
He's candid that limited resources, the work of building early credibility, and attracting good talent have all been real constraints. "But these challenges strengthened our determination and helped us develop a stronger foundation for the company."
What makes Doordripp different
"Doordripp is not simply another online fashion store. We're building a completely new category by combining fashion with quick commerce."
Tiwari outlines the differentiators: delivery within 25 to 45 minutes, a trial-before-purchase experience, an exclusive focus on fashion and accessories, technology-driven operations designed for speed, and customer-centric services built for modern consumer needs.
"Our vision is to become the 'Blinkit for fashion' and redefine how people shop for clothing and accessories."
The biggest achievement so far
"My biggest achievement has been transforming an idea into a registered company while still being a college student," Tiwari says. "Building Doordripp from the ground up — creating a vision, assembling a talented team, and developing a business model that addresses a genuine market need — has been incredibly rewarding."
It's also, he notes, a deliberate statement. "As a young entrepreneur from Meerut, establishing a startup with ambitions to transform an entire industry has been a significant milestone. Every step forward reinforces my belief that age and location should never limit innovation and ambition."
Lessons learned
"Entrepreneurship has taught me that execution is more important than ideas. Many people have great ideas, but success comes from taking action, solving problems consistently, and remaining committed during difficult times."
He lists adaptability, resilience, patience, leadership, and continuous learning as the foundations he's worked to build. "One of the most valuable lessons has been understanding that failures and setbacks are not obstacles but opportunities to learn and improve. Every challenge brings new insights that contribute to long-term growth."
The vision
Asked about Doordripp's future, Tiwari is direct: India first, then beyond.
"My vision is to build Doordripp into India's leading fashion quick-commerce platform. In the coming years, we plan to expand across major Indian cities, partner with thousands of fashion brands and retailers, strengthen our technology infrastructure, and enhance the customer experience."
Longer-term, he wants the company to be a globally recognized brand. "Our goal is to make fast fashion delivery an everyday expectation rather than a luxury."
Advice for aspiring entrepreneurs
"My advice is simple: start before you feel completely ready. I began my entrepreneurial journey while pursuing my B.Tech degree, and one of the biggest lessons I have learned is that waiting for the perfect time often means never starting at all."
The rest, he says, is execution. "Focus on solving real problems, remain curious, continuously learn, and take consistent action. Build a strong team, listen to your customers, and stay committed to your vision even when challenges arise. Success is rarely achieved overnight. It's the result of persistence, discipline, and continuous improvement."
