The Digital Infratech founder on going from construction sites to construction technology, and building one marketplace for an industry that still sources labor, contractors and materials by word of mouth.

Raj Soni is the Founder & CEO of Digital Infratech Platform, a construction technology company building an all-in-one ecosystem for the construction industry in India. He is a civil engineer by background, and his experience in site supervision, project coordination and construction technology is what the company is built on.

The problem he set out to solve is one anyone who has worked on a site will recognise: finding reliable labor, contractors, professionals and materials is slow, informal and hard to trust. Digital Infratech brings project owners, contractors, engineers, architects, suppliers and skilled labor onto one platform, and pairs it with material quick-commerce.

"Lasting value comes from solving real, field-level customer problems," he says, "not just building products."

What follows is his interview, in his own words.

Please introduce yourself and tell us about your background.

I'm Raj Soni, Founder & CEO of Digital Infratech Platform. With a background in civil engineering and hands-on experience in site supervision, project coordination, and construction technology, I build digital solutions that modernize the construction industry.

What inspired you to start Digital Infratech?

Working in construction showed me firsthand how fragmented the industry is - especially when sourcing reliable labor, contractors, professionals, and materials. I built Digital Infratech Platform to solve this: leveraging technology to make construction sourcing simpler, faster, and transparent.

What problem does Digital Infratech solve for its customers?

Digital Infratech is an all-in-one ecosystem connecting project owners, contractors, engineers, architects, suppliers, and skilled labor. By bringing key stakeholders onto a single platform, we streamline workforce allocation, contractor discovery, vendor sourcing, project coordination, and material procurement.

What challenges did you face during the early stages of the business?

The biggest challenges were understanding the industry's unorganized nature, building trust among different stakeholders, developing the right technology, and creating an initial network of construction professionals and service providers.

What makes Digital Infratech different from other companies in the industry?

Digital Infratech is building an integrated digital platform for the construction industry. We unify workforce allocation, professional discovery, vendor networks, and material quick-commerce into a single, seamless marketplace.

What has been your biggest achievement so far?

One of my proudest achievements is translating hands-on civil engineering experience into scalable, technology-driven platforms. Bridging the gap between field operations and digital innovation, my journey from engineer to entrepreneur has given me a deep operational understanding of both construction management and startup execution.

What lessons have you learned as an entrepreneur?

My journey in entrepreneurship has taught me that building a successful company demands patience, adaptability, and resilience through uncertainty. Above all, I've learned that lasting value comes from solving real, field-level customer problems - not just building products.

What are your future goals and vision for the company?

Our vision is to position Digital Infratech as the premier tech-driven construction ecosystem, beginning in India and scaling globally over time. We are democratizing access to skilled employment, professional services, contractor discovery, and material procurement through seamless technology.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?

Identify a real problem around you. Learn continuously, take action, and embrace failure as part of the process.

Your initial idea will evolve, but the hands-on experience you gain while building will stay with you forever.

Where can people learn more about Digital Infratech and connect with you?
